The RBKMMU is a networking opportunity for providers of services / projects that are making a massive difference in the lifestyles of young New Zealanders. Held at Auckland’s Aotea Center on April 4th (3:00pm – 5:30pm) presenters are given 7 minutes to present 20 slides about what they do, why they do it, how they are inspiring change in the world and how you could be involved. There will also be a 14 minute keynote from Malcolm Dale (senior partner of Gardyne Holt) about the value addition that branding can provide community organisations.

At first sight it may appear that not every presenter is suitable for everyone, but in 2013 networks and families are diverse, information is power and while not immediately for you, you may well know of someone to whom the service could make a world of difference.

The RBKMMU started in 2011 as a networking opportunity for the disability sector, in 2012 it was targeted toward disability providers with a youth focus and in 2013 it’s now an opportunity for the wider youth sector to inform, inspire and collaborate.

The Really Big Kinda Massive Meet Up

    • 30 October 2012
    • 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
    • Viaduct Events Centre, Auckland

It’s Facebook live…

An epic networking event. Whether you’re a young person or young at heart, have a disability or people who know of people who do, work and innovate within the disability sector, or see the power of collaboration when various sectors work together, this Really Big Kinda Massive Meet Up is for you. With presentations from:

Rotary, Wilson Home, Westpac, Halberg Trust, Stand Up Paddle Board Takapuna, Human Right Commision, Phab Pasifika, Workbridge, Thermotex, Sport Waitakere

Each presenter will be sprinting through their powerful presentation in 7 minutes, empowering you with clarity as to how they can be a part of your life. Further more this is your opportunity to hear what makes them tick.

Ultimately they are wanting to form a cohesion between the silos within the sector by sharing the views of those who do not attend the more traditional network meetings facilitated by short-bread biscuits and home-spun jumpers. We live in 2012, it’s time to jazz up the way we interact and connect and form those bridges that allow us to expand our horizons. Facebook and other social media is great but we need to step back to face-to-face communication sometime – if we’re always talking to the same people we don’t move forward.

An event exploding with inspiration, information, innovation and cohesion, there is a lot for you to ‘like’ on the 30th of October, 10:00am – 12:30pm at the Viaduct events Centre (Rangitoto Room 1).

Be sure to RSVP and extend the invite as far as you can dream.
