Whānau Peers 4 Recovery: new family and whānau interest group

Whānau Peers 4 Recovery want to make a shout out to all those who identify strongly as a family member or supporter of someone else who experiences mental health problems on an ongoing basis. Have you found it difficult as whānau to access recovery-focused, sustainable support for yourself or the person you are concerned about? One where the focus is the relationship, not their mental illness? Some of us, as whānau, would like to see something offered more than what is currently available, and we believe this needs to be led by whānau themselves embracing a whānau-peer model.

If this email resonates and you are interested in exploring how as whānau we can start something different, please email whanaupeers4recovery@gmail.com
