Understanding Family Violence Training: Pukekohe 22 & 23 May 2012

“Understanding Family Violence”   

According to  SAFVPN’s  Strategic Objective ‘To equip the network to achieve its mission’ , this training is offered as an opportunity to enhance our understanding and analysis of violence in the family and whanau. ‘Understanding Family Violence’ will provide a platform for further training in Intervention and Prevention Skills. This course is open to SAFVPN Members and to non-members

Causes of Family Violence

Day 2, 9am-3.00pm

Dynamics of Family Violence Effects of Family Violence

+ One Written Assignment to be completed in order to receive certificate of completion.

SAFVPN Training, Stage 1. 

  Family Violence Intervention – Safety First

According to SAFVPN’s Strategic Objective ‘To equip the network to achieve its mission’ , this training is offered as an opportunity to enhance our ability to make safe initial interventions in situations where there is violence in family and whanau, especially Partner Violence. This Course  will provide an   Intervention Model and Skills to address initial safety issues. This course is open to SAFVPN Members and to non-members. A completion of SAFVPN’s other Stage 1 Course, ‘Understanding Family Violence’ or equivalent, is an essential pre-requisite to this course.
