Funding policies to be announced at Public Meetings in Auckland and Kaitaia

Funding polices to be launched at public meetings

This year’s ASB Community Trust annual public meetings will be important events for not-for-profit community groups, because they will be launching their new strategic plan and funding policies.

This will be the first opportunity to give the community details of the Trust’s funding priorities for the next five years.

Auckland public meeting

The Auckland public meeting will be held on Monday, 13 August at 2pm in the Mangere Arts Centre. ASB Trustees and staff will present results from the past year and explain what will be happening in the next 12 months.

A funding fair will be held immediately after the meeting. ASB Community Trust Grants Advisors will be on hand to distribute new funding guidelines. These will explain what the Trust will fund, application requirements and closing dates.

A number of other funders and support organisations will be represented at the funding fair too:

  • Auckland Communities Foundation
  • DIA, Lottery Grants
  • The Lion Foundation
  • Auckland Council
  • The Funding Information Service
  • Volunteering Auckland
  • IRD
  • The Trusts Community Foundation (TTCF)
  • Social Development Partners with Tech Soup
  • The Charities Commission
  • North Shore Community and Social Services
  • The Fundraising Institute of New Zealand.

Kaitaia public meeting

The Northland public meeting will this year be held in Kaitaia’s Te Ahu centre on Saturday, 1 September, starting at 1pm.

Trustees and staff will again present the strategic plan and funding policies. After the meeting the funding guidelines will be available and our grants advisors will run information tables and talk with community group representatives about funding proposals.

Please RSVP

To attend one of the public meetings, please RSVP to info@ASBCommunityTrust.org.nz, letting us know which meeting you will attend and how many people will be with you.

We want our communities to be fully informed about these changes, so all the funding information will also be on our website. Those unable to attend the meetings will be able to download the funding guidelines from our website.

We will also use our newsletter to keep you informed.
