How do I register for one of the MECOSS Meetings?

It’s simple! Just send an email headed ‘REGISTRATION’ to admin@mecoss.org.nz with the name and date of which event you wish to attend.

When registering for a Capacity-Building Clinic you will receive confirmation of registration accompanied by an invoice. In the event you have registered and paid but find you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send another colleague in your place.  For Cluster meetings, cash is payable at the door.

Free Guided Ranger Park Walks in Auckland Feb – June 2013

Looking for something to do? Come along and enjoy free guided ranger walks in the south and east of Auckland.

The ranger will guide you on a journey to experience the natural and cultural heritage in these varied ecosystems – forest landscape, coastal walkway, estuary, saltmarsh wetland and volcanic stonefield.

Develop an awareness of the environmental issues that face the area today and get to know some of your park environments.

Cost: Free

Synopsis: Over the past twenty years, more than 30,000 Ugandan children have been abducted by rebel troops and forced into in armed conflict. Many of these child soldiers are girls. Grace, Milly, Lucy… Child Soldiers explores this little-known reality.  When they return from captivity, girls who were trained to kill and often forced to “marry” their captors must readjust to life within their community. Clinging to their dreams, Grace, Milly and Lucy are trying to restore meaning to their lives and break the silence surrounding the fate of a sacrificed generation.
