Inviting families/Whanau from Waitakere, North Shore & Rodney

A free service for families/whanau who are supporting the recovery of a loved one from mental health issues.  Join others who face similar challenges; to learn and to share experiences, to exchange information & resources; and to learn different strategies in dealing with the needs of our loved one and ourselves.

WHAT TOPIC: Guest speaker Murray Walker SW from WDHB Community Team 2 will talk about Respite & Care Support—How can families/whanau get time out , who qualifies and who pays for it?

WHY: Families/whanau often get burnt out needing a break from their loved one. Tonight is an opportunity to find out about how Respite & Care support may relate to you.

Research Project: How do you feel about living in your local neighbourhood and community

Ignite Research are interviewing people in several Auckland areas for Auckland Council and would like to hear people’s stories about what it’s like living in New Lynn, Papatoetoe, Albany.

If you, or someone you know, would like to take part in this research project and receive a $35 Warehouse voucher and go into a draw for another $100 voucher, for just 40 minutes of your time, then read on.

Ignite Research want to talk to people who…

  • Live in Papatoetoe, Albany, New Lynn
  • Are aged 17-100
  • Are Pacific, Indian, Korean, Chinese, European or Pākehā
  • Have a disability
